RHODYWOOD

"A REEL Network for Filmmakers"

About Us

RHODYWOOD is an independent film organization with a goal of

improving the quality of independent filmmaking.

A combination of "Rhode Island" and "Hollywood", RHODYWOOD was trademarked by Anthony Demings of the Brooklyn Coffee Teahouse in Providence, Rhode Island.

RHODYWOOD strives to develop, enhance, and promote the independent film community in Rhode Island and Southern New England.  RHODYWOOD also provides assistance to filmmakers across the United States and abroad via social media groups.

RHODYWOOD encompasses professional services for the filmmaking community, individualized for each independent filmmaker's needs.  We offer location-based services in Providence, Rhode Island in a unique, artsy, and versatile space.  We feature Studio space for acting classes and all types of film-related events, plus optional short-term residential accommodations for out-of-town filmmakers.  We work within every filmmaker's budget.

Anthony Demings is a life-long resident of Rhode Island with extensive knowledge of the Southern New England area and the local arts community.  He developed a personal interest in independent film while operating the Coffeehouse.  Now an event space, the 143-year-old, historic Coffeehouse has become home for RHODYWOOD events of all types.
